Instructor guide generator
Stop facilitating from your speaker notes.
CourseBldr produces a real instructor guide — facilitator notes, transitions, timing cues, debrief prompts, knowledge-check answers — built around the same workshop content as the student manual.
Every working trainer has the same problem at 7 AM on workshop day: the slide deck is ready, the student handouts are printed, and the “instructor guide” is a stack of Post-It notes stuck to the printout from the last time you ran it. CourseBldr is the engine that produces the document that should have been there from the start.
Tell us the workshop topic and audience. CourseBldr builds:
- Facilitator script — what to say, in your voice, with the natural transitions
- Timing cues — how long each section runs at the depth you chose
- Debrief prompts — the open-ended questions that turn a lecture into a discussion
- Knowledge-check answers — the right answer, the wrong answers, and why
- Activity walkthroughs — facilitator perspective on every exercise
- Recovery patterns — what to do when the room goes quiet or the time runs short
Editable Word document. Your branding. Reusable across every time you run the workshop.
Real facilitator notes
Not the speaker-notes pane on the slide. A separate document with what to say, when to say it, and what to listen for in the response.
Timing baked in
Each section carries a target run-time based on the depth and audience you specified. Run a half-day, run a full-day — the timing scales.
Debrief prompts
Every module ends with discussion questions designed to surface understanding, not just verify it. Reusable in the next round; modifiable for your industry.
Pairs with slide narration
Add the optional Slide Narration upgrade and the deck self-presents in self-paced mode. Instructor guide for live, narration for async — same workshop, both delivery modes.

Common questions
The five questions everyone asks.
Is this the same as PowerPoint's speaker notes pane?
No. Speaker notes are sentence fragments on a slide. The Instructor Guide is a separate document with facilitation strategy, transitions between modules, timing per section, debrief prompts, recovery patterns, and full answer keys for every knowledge check. The speaker notes live IN the deck for self-paced delivery; the Instructor Guide lives ALONGSIDE the deck for live delivery.
Does it actually carry the timing accurately?
Timing is computed from the lesson count and depth you specify. Pro Kit at 16 lessons typically runs ~6 hours of facilitated time. Team Kit at 40 lessons runs ~16 hours. Real workshops drift — the Instructor Guide carries the target so you know when to compress.
Can it match my style?
Upload your previous facilitator notes or a recorded workshop transcript as reference (Pro Kit takes 15–20 pages, Team Kit 30-150). CourseBldr weaves your voice and signature phrasing into the guide.
What format is the output?
Editable Word document (.docx) and PDF. Your branding on every page. Add highlights, sticky notes, your own real-world stories — the guide is yours to evolve.
Do you make a co-trainer / two-facilitator version?
Yes — when the brief specifies a co-facilitator model, the Instructor Guide includes hand-off cues between trainers. Default is single-facilitator; the form lets you switch.
Your next workshop deserves a real instructor guide.
